Mississippi Milesplit: Why did you choose Mississippi College?
Emily: I chose Mississippi College because it is a beautiful school with a wide range of opportunities. It has everything I wanted in a college: exceptional education, low staff to student ratio, and, of course, a great cross country and track program.
Mississippi Milesplit: What do you plan to study at Mississippi College?
Emily: I plan on pursuing a career in nursing, and MC provides a school of nursing that surpasses my expectations.
Mississippi Milesplit: What is your GPA and your ACT scores?
Emily: My GPA is a 4.17 and my ACT score is a 24 (at the moment).
Mississippi Milesplit: What other activities do you do at your high school?
Emily: I participate in theatre, concert choir, anchor club, key club, national honor society, Mentoring, FCA leadership, student council, diamond girls, and I am the student body president this year.
Mississippi Milesplit: What activities to you participate in outside of school at home?
Emily: I am involved in my church youth group as well as its leadership team. I participate in First Baptist Church Youth Choir. I have been apart of Oxford-Lafayette Junior Leadership and the City of Oxford's Mayor-Youth Council. I have volunteered at VBS annually and Winshape Camps for two years.
