MSTrack: Why did you decide to go to Mississippi State?
There are many reasons for why I chose Mississippi State. One reason is for what I was offered academically and athletically. The campus and facilities are nice; I like the coaches, especially Coach Thomas; and I have many ties with the University. My father ran track for the program in the early 90s, and my mother and aunt are both alumni. The University is also about an hour from my grandma's house.
MSTrack: What do you plan to study at Mississippi State?
As of now, I am undecided. But, I am thinking about majoring in Communications, Business, or something in the Arts/Sciences.
MSTrack: We know that you attend Center Hill High School what else do you do besides Track?
I was on the football team and am on the tennis team. I was also a part of Mustang Tv (school broadcast program), the DECA Club, and im in the National Honor Society.
MSTrack: What type of grades do you have and have you taken the ACT yet?
I make mostly A's with few B's. My GPA is 4.05, my NGA is 95.8, I'm ranked 14th, and I'm in the ACT 30+ Club. I scored a 26 composite on the ACT.
MSTrack: What do you do outside of school?
Outside of school, I normally work at one of my two jobs, or I volunteer with the National Honor Society. It's rare that I have free time, but when I do, I like to hangout with friends and play tennis.
MSTrack: What are your goals for track in the future?
My goals are to become the best that I can be, and hopefully to win some championships down the road! And, maybe even make a living from it!
