Roury McCloyen re-breaks SP & Discus State Records

In a breathtaking display of power and finesse, Roury McCloyen, the prodigious senior from St. Joseph Catholic School and soon-to-be Mississippi State athlete, etched his name in the history books by smashing his own state records in both the Shot Put and Discus events at the Lee Academy District Meet this past Saturday.

The Herculean efforts of McCloyen were nothing less than spectacular as he heaved the Discus an astounding 195 feet, 11.25 inches, earning him the prestigious No. 7 national ranking. Not to be outdone, his Shot Put throw of 64 feet, 4.5 inches propelled him to the sixth position in the national standings.

McCloyen's stellar performance solidifies his reputation as a Mississippi Track and Field legend, having been a dominant force throughout his high school career. The four-time MSAIS Champion and three-time national champion has consistently raised the bar, making his mark as an indomitable force in high school track and field.

The young titan's trajectory is a testament to his unwavering dedication, tireless work ethic, and the invaluable support from his coaches and teammates. Refusing to rest on his laurels, McCloyen continually pushes himself to scale new heights, showing no signs of complacency.
