Poll: Mississippi Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year

Now is the chance for the readers to select the girls cross country athlete of the year.

Brooklyn Biancamano, Long Beach has the fastest time of the year at 17:40 but the course was short. She won all eight races she ran in and beat the number two ranked girl at Class 6A State. If you delete the short course her season-best time of 18:15.60 was run on Choctaw Trails at the MHSAA Class 6A race.

 Madison Jones, Saltillo High got a late start to the season due to injury and only ran in four races. She won two of the four running her season-best time of 18:43.30 at State finishing second to Brooklyn.

Julia Stradinger, Jackson Preparatory had a really good season winning all six races she ran in. Julia ran a personal record 18:50.80 winning the Gold Division at the Watson High School Meet. She won the MAIS Class 5A State Championships at Choctaw trails.

Daeja Davis, Pearl High won the last three meets of the season including the MHSAA Class 6A State Championship. She also set her personal record for 5K running 18:54.31 to win.

Sarah Sanders, Tupelo Spartans won the Homeschool Association State Meet running 21:51.84. This is time is her personal record. She also won the North Mississippi Challenge at Blue Mountain College.
