Welcome to the Tupelo Middle School Season Opener 2026. We are excited to offer our middle school program an opportunity to be recognized and valued as an important element of growing future track and field athletes. We believe that the middle school program sets the tone for a great high school program. This meet will be limited to 6 teams. Unlimited entries for each event. We ask that you be sensible when putting athletes in events. We do not want to overcrowd events which makes for a long evening.
NOTE: If we see that events are filling up to a max, we will place a cap on it. If this change happens, we will notify you immediately.
$100 per team with boys and girls considered separate teams. $200 max per school. $20 per athletes not with a full team. Must be a part of a team with MHSAA or surrounding states under their high school activities association. Unattached, clubs, and home school athletes are not allowed to enter the meet.
Meet Information
Gates open at 11:30, meet time is 1:00 @Tupelo High School Track, coaches meeting at 12:30. Weigh in for discus and shot will be at the site on the practice field. $7 gate fee. Tickets can only be purchased through gofan.com. TUPELO HAS A CLEAR BAG POLICY! Concessions will be available. Bathrooms will be located beside the concessions stands.

Field Events
Long Jump/Triple Jump Girls/Boys (same time), High Jump (girls/boys), Pole Vault (boys/girls), Discus (girls/boys), Shot Put (boys/girls) Each thrower/jumper gets a total of 3 jumps. Excluded are high jump and pole vault.
4x800 Relay Girls, Boys
3200 boys and girls will run during field events. If the number is small, boys and girls will run together.
