Meet Information
Thank you very much for your interest in the Tupelo Invitational, which is held on the campus of Tupelo High School.
Of note: we usual host our meet the back half of the month of September. Our course is on the THS campus.
Because of 2 home football game that also include homecoming and a community tailgate, this is why we have a different location on the calendar.
We are looking forward to the 2024 cross country season, and hosting you for our cross country meet !
RACE SCHEDULE
8 a.m. - Girls Class 5A-7A 5K
8:40 a.m. - Boys Class 5A-7A 5K
9:20 a.m. - Girls Middle School 2 mile (all classifications)
9:40 a.m. - Boys Middle School 2 mile (all classifications)
10:00 a.m. - Girls Class 1A-4A 5K
10:10 a.m. - 5A-7A and middle school team trophy ceremony
10:40 a.m. - Boys Class 1A-4A 5K
11:15 a.m. - 1A-4A team trophy ceremony

ENTRY FEES
$60 per team (boys high school, girls high school, boys middle school, girls middle school). Varsity and middle school teams are considered separate.
A maximum of $175 per school.
$15 per individual runner not with a complete team.
Bring entry fees with you. Cash or school check. Please make checks out to 'Tupelo High School Cross Country'.
Registration will be located by softball field in black and yellow Tupelo tent.
Unlimited entries in each race.

Restrooms located in football complex.

Crushed gravel and dirt trail on southern portion of course; both high school and middle school courses are two loops; no concrete on either the high school or middle school course. Because of construction on campus in 2022, a Northern loop of the high school course was eliminated, while a loop in the Southern wooded area was added, making the high school course even flatter. The course is open for walk-throughs.
Both the 5K and 2 mile courses are 2 loops. Course maps will be available at registration table.

It is advisable to purchase your parking prior to arriving at THS. Tupelo High School activities are now cashless.

Awards for each division
Top 3 teams.
Top 20 finishers in each race earn T-shirts.

Previous boys trophies in each division recognized and honored Dale Dobbs, who began the Tupelo boys program in the 1970's, and who coached Tupelo in the first sanctioned MHSAA State Meet in 1978, and first state championship in 1982. The Tupelo boys high school program currently has 18 cross country state championships.
