2021 Rankin County Cross Country Championships
Northwest Rankin High School will be hosting the 2021 Rankin County Cross Country Championships on Thursday, October 21. This meet is only open to schools in Rankin County!!! The meet will be held at the new cross country course at NWR with the first race beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Coaches, NWR High School dismisses at 3:25. Our campus doesn't clear until 3:50-4:00 so our admin asks that you tell your fans/parents to arrive AFTER 4:00. Teams and buses will not be a problem because when you enter from VINE DR., you will be directed to the back of the building where no cars will be. Please help to get this information out to your parents.
Note: There will be an admission fee per car. 1 occupant is $5 and 2 occupants or more will be $10.
CASH ONLY!!! Coaches, please tell your people about this fee.
Divisions:
Middle School Girls, Middle School Boys, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Boys
Individual and team awards will be presented in each division with the top 14 in each division being named to the All Rankin County Team. Entry fees are $35.00 per team (boys & girls teams are considered separate) per division. Entries will be done on MileSplit.com. Bring entry fees with you to the meet, please do not mail! 5:00 High School Girls Race (5000 m)
5:45 High School Boys Race (5000 m)
Due to Covid-19 there will not be an awards ceremony
Competing runners should report to the starting line 10 minutes before the start of each race!
Entries: Entries are to be done online at MileSplit.com Entries are now open!
Entries close on Monday, October 18. There are unlimited entries in all divisions, but only the TOP SEVEN from each school will be used for scoring and are eligible for awards.

Entry Fee: $35.00 per team (boys & girls teams are separate) per division ($140.00 for ALL 4 divisions).
Make checks payable to: Northwest Rankin.
Chute: Please instruct your athletes to keep moving through the chute unless stopped by an official.
Clean up: Please help keep the meet site clean by picking up all trash.
Awards: Individual Medals to the Top 3 Finishers in each Division.
T-Shirts to the Top 14 Finishers in each Division.
Note: There will be no duplication of t-shirts.
