SOUTHERN MISS HIGH SCHOOL INVITATIONAL

MEET INFORMATION
Meet Format: Only high school teams and unattached high school athletes.
Schools may enter two athletes per event and one relay team.
Additional entries may be submitted as part of a B team.
Heats and flights will be seeded worst to best according to marks
submitted. Athletes with no mark will be seeded last. Please submit
accurate marks to ensure the best possible competition.
All track events will be finals with sections against time. In the throws
and horizontal jumps, each athlete will be given four (4) attempts.
Lanes, throwing order and jumping order will be drawn at random.
Meet will be scored 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
Entry Procedure: All team entries and scratches must be done online via
www.directathletics.com Entries and scratches are due by
Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at midnight. Email unattached entries to
Kevin M. Stephen at trinikev@hotmail.com by Tuesday, March, 3.

Entry Fee: There will be a $100.00 entry fee per team (boys and girls are considered separate teams). B teams will be charged $10.00 per athlete (max $100.00). The entry fee for unattached athletes
will be $15.00. Fees can be mailed in advance or paid at packet pick up. Make checks payable to Southern Miss Track and Field.

Schedule: Rolling schedule of events can be found on page 2.

Weigh in: Weigh in will be conducted in the brown shed at the north end of the
track (close to the 100m start line). Weigh in will begin 90 minutes before the start of the first throwing event.

Awards: Trophies for 1st place team, Champion relay teams and high point
scorer. T-shirts for top three in an event and 1st place relay team.

Directions: From I 59: take Hwy 49 South exit. Take 4th St. exit and continue
south. Turn left at traffic light. Track is 600m on left.
From 49 N: Take 4thSt. exit and continue south. Turn left at traffic light.
Track is 600m on left.
From 49 S: Take 4th St. exit. Continue north on service road. Turn right
at stop sign. Track is 500m on the left.
