SITE: Okatibbee Lake Dam, East Bank Area , Collinsville, MS (10 miles North of Meridian, MS off Hwy 19N)

High School Divisions - Team awards for 1st and 2nd in V, JV divisions will be awarded, as well as top ten individuals will receive T-shirts. Junior High divisions will receive top 10 T shirts, no team awards
Runners are to report to the starting line five minutes before the start of each race per the time named above! We will start as soon as the previous race is complete or near enough not to interfere
ENTRIES:
Varsity team will be 7 runners only, any grades 7-12. 5K distance boys/4K distance girls
Jr Varsity teams will be unlimited runners, grades 7-12. 5K distance boys/4K distance girls
Junior High must be 7th 8th grade ONLY! 1.6 mile boys and girls
A school may enter fewer than five runners to compete as individuals, this will NOT affect the team score

Entry Fee = $75 first team + $25 for second team ($100 total)
(Boys & Girls teams are considered separate teams)
REGISTRATION:
1. Check in at the packet pick-up upon arrival (at least 30 minutes prior to race) East Bank pavilion on top of hill
2. Team packet includes: Pins, & Numbers
*Assigned contestant numbers with the school and athletes name printed on the tear-away portion. In order to compete, all athletes will be required to have their assigned number pinned to the FRONT of their jersey.
DO NOT PIN THE TEAR AWAY PORTION TO THE JERSEY!
DO NOT WEAR A NUMBER NOT ASSIGNED TO YOUR NAME/SCHOOL!
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Course is mostly grass (one pavement crossing). Spikes may be used if desired. Great viewing of the race course, view point #1 at end of dam allows viewing of first mile and one view climbing Heartbreak Hill, move to view point #2 at the end of the road and view another mile, then move to the top of the hill by the shelter for the finish. Heartbreak hill is 0.8 miles into the race and a second hill at 1.9 for the girls and 2.5 for the boys.
Lake views along the run and from the finish area. Starting line for all races college and high school/Junior high will be at the bottom of Heartbreak Hill, finish line for everyone is on top of hill near pavilion.
First aid at pavilion will be on site, and medical EMT following each race.
3 Rest rooms with running water (no porta johns) and two playgrounds are available for use!
FINISH CHUTE:
Coaches, please instruct your athletes that the finish line is at the front of the overhead inflatable chute, but walk through the complete chute unless stopped by an official, stay in line - in the order of finish according to officials. Numbers will be torn off for placement at the end of the chute. Race Director and RaceTab both will be used for scoring as well as a hard copy printout for third backup.
UNIFORMS: School issued required
CLEAN UP: Please keep the site clean by placing all trash in bags or cans!
