2008 the year of only National Elite Standards. LouisianaRunning.com Press Release Mar 25, 2008

Track & field season has started up in Louisiana. A new year brings changes and LouisianaRunning.com is making a huge one. Effective immediately, we begin to include all performances with results submitted in Hytek or RaceTab format in the rankings. Previously, only times that met our "elite standards" were added into the performance database.

With this change our rankings will go plenty deep in each event. No longer will you have to be "elite" to be included in the rankings. I’m sure many of you are wondering what will happen with the "elite marks tab" on each individual meet page. That will still be there, but now only performances meeting the 2nd Team National standards will appear. We at MileSplit feel this is an important step in the right direction to reach out and include more athletes in our sport. So tell your coaches, teammates, and friends -- everyone will be on the rankings now.
