Four Brentwood High cross country and track athletes recently signed National Letters of Intent to compete in college.  On Thursday, runner Taylor Caldwell signed with Ole Miss, while Elizabeth Scott signed with Alabama.  Brothers Aaron and Alec Thomas signed with North Carolina State cross country and track on Friday. (via www.brentwoodhomepage.com)

Vanderbilt High School Invitational - Meet Review

Several Kentucky athletes are heading south to the Vanderbilt HS Indoor Invitational in Nashville, Tennessee.  

2013-14 Taylor "Kai" Wilmot, Spokane, WAHaving competed at Nike Cross Nationals all four years of high school, Taylor Kai Wilmot won in a meet record 14:59.99 (15:00). Defeating several previously ranked US#1 runners Wilmot ran away from the field. In arguably the best field in recent US history Wilmot defeated World Junior 1500m finalist Blake Haney who had run 13:55 for 3-miles this season to win Woodbridge which is #5 all-time, former US#1 and Washington State meet Record holder 14:44.83 for 5k (via RunnerSpace)
