Note: Athletes who have been nominated in the past two weeks are not eligible. Previous winners are excluded for the rest of the season.
This Week's Nominees:
Preston Crump, Corinth High School: Ran 13.82 in the 110m hurdles to win the MHSAA 4A Super Region 1 and set a new state lead.
Jamir Barton, Corinth High School: Ran 37.65 in the 300m hurdles to win the MHSAA 4A Super Region 1 and set a new state lead.
Josh Parker, Jackson Prep: Won the MAIS Varsity District 4-4A Championships in the 100m with a time of 10.54, clocking the fastest time in the state from last week.
Sean Fairley, West Harrison: Threw 181-1 to win the MHSAA Region 4-7A/4-5A meet, marking his sixth throw over 180 this season.
Tyree LeSueur, Horn Lake: Ran the 400m and 800m at the MHSAA Region 1-7A meet, going 48.46 and 1:57.99, respectively. This makes him the fastest combined middle-distance (400m/800m) athlete in the state.
