Another week of Mississippi cross country is in the books, so we're back to highlight more athletes through the Most Improved Series! Each week, we'll spotlight one meet and highlight athletes who made the biggest jumps compared to their performances at the same meet last year.

This week, we're featuring the Watson Classic.

With an improvement of over five minutes, Mikey Bowser from Petal High School is the most improvement athlete at this meet. Not only did Mikey improve upon his time, but he also improved upon his race placement. Mikey placed 348th overall last year, but has jumped to 260th this year.

Pictured in the cover of the article, Chapel Davis from St. Augustine also improved by a signifciant chunk. He dropped over four minutes from last year.

Many other athletes made big improvements, so check out the rest of these athletes to see how much these Mississippi athletes improved!
