On the girl's side, Addison Rainey from Ocean Springs ran the fastest time by an MHSAA athlete. At the Class 7A Region 4 Championship, she ran an 18:27 and secured the regional win. Despite her falling just short of victory at the MHSAA 7A State Championships, she still put up an extremely impressive season with plenty of gutsy performances.
