BILOXI, Miss. ---Julie Segroves, a standout pole vaulter on the Biloxi High School Track and Field team, has once again broken her own Mississippi High School Girls Outdoor Pole Vault record. At the Gulf Coast Classic held on her home track, Segroves vaulted a remarkable 13 feet, 7 inches, surpassing her previous record and securing her 12th consecutive win in the event.
This outstanding performance propels Segroves to the No. 3 spot in the United States, and with her sights set on clearing 14 feet, she continues to establish herself as one of the nation's most promising young athletes.
The Gulf Coast Classic brought together some of the region's most talented athletes, and Segroves' record-breaking performance was a highlight of the event. She has consistently displayed exceptional performances in her craft, as she approaches the 14-foot milestone, the MileSplit Mississippi community eagerly anticipates her future accomplishments.
