MileSplit Miss. HSG T&F 1st-Team Standards, Week No. 3

In the 100-meter dash, Valencia Watson of Ridgeland High School clocked in at 12.08 seconds with a 0.6 wind, earning her the top spot on the leaderboard. Addison McLaurin from Brandon High School followed close behind, finishing at 12.18 seconds with a 2.5 headwind.

The 200-meter dash saw McLaurin dominate with a time of 24.76 seconds and a 1.0 wind. Tacherria Lawson of Clinton High and Watson secured the second and third spots, respectively, with times of 24.96 seconds and 25.12 seconds.

Gulfport's Lania McDonald finished the 400-meter dash at 58.34 seconds, maintaining the top spot on the leaderboard. Evie Ewing from Madison Ridgeland Academy was close behind with a time of 58.39 seconds, which now leads the MSAIS. 

Olivia Smith from Jackson Prep stole the state lead in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:26.09, followed closely by Kaitlyn Burge from Hernando High at 2:26.82.

In the 1600-meter run, Burge ran a lifetime best and Mississippi No. 1 time of 5:20.16. Sophie Santucci from Tupelo High School secured the second spot on the leaderboard with a time of 5:20.43.

Brookelyn Morgan of Tupelo High School finished strong in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11:33.11, followed by Ella Rankin at 11:58.27, a solo effort for the Hartfield freshman.

In the hurdles events, Hattiesburg senior Lenasia Drummond clocked in at 15.22 seconds with a -2.7 wind in the 100-meter hurdles, remaining undefeated in the event. Jenesis Williams from Clinton High finished the 300-meter hurdles at 45.70 seconds, lowering her Mississippi No. 1 mark. 

In the shot put, Clinton's Meagan Womack of Clinton High School threw for a mark of 40-5 at the Southern Miss High School Invitational, securing first place. Shaneal Corpuz of Biloxi High also had a strong performance, throwing for 38-5 and earning second place.

In the discus throw, Womack once again showed her dominance, throwing for a mark of 144-7 to take first place. Aryn Eady of D'Iberville High School threw for 128-9 and earned second place, while Jasmine Jones of Pearl High School threw for 105-5 and took third place.

In the long jump, Heidi Hudson of Sumrall High School jumped for a mark of 18-1 and earned first place at the Southern Miss High School Invitational. Drummond also had a strong showing, jumping for 17-9 and taking second place.

Cheyanne Alston of Biloxi High School showed her skills in the triple jump, jumping for a mark of 37-4 and taking first place at the Southern Miss High School Invitational. Charve Gibson of Jefferson County HS jumped for 35-10 and earned second place, while Drummond took third place with a jump of 35-7.

In the High Jump, Hudson once again stood out, jumping for a mark of 5-6 and earning first place at the Southern Miss High School Invitational.
