PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. --- Dallas Stricker of Heritage Christian Academy set the course on fire with a blazing new PR and course record at the 2022 Pass Christian XC Invitational. Until this point, Sticker's best times for the season were all in the middle to high 17s, with the best being 17:26 at the 2022 Forerunner XC Challenge.

However, Stricker got what he had been chasing since the 2021 cross country season, and did so in a dominant fashion.

With this dominant performance, Stricker lands himself as the third fastest 5k runner in the MAIS, only behind Sidney Stegall and William Fugate

Stricker has been looking very strong this season, and the 2021 MAIS Cross Country Champion is on the hunt to defend his title.

Moving over to the team standings, the boys of Ocean Springs dominated the field.

With Tate Castleman finishing in second and the other Greyhounds not far behind in third, fourth, sixth, and twelfth, they created a very tight spread that let them pull away reasonably early. They beat the next scoring team by 71 points.

No. 1 Greyhound Castleman achieved his first sub-17 of the season in a 5K PR of 16:54.0.

The top five average of the Ocean Springs boys was 17:36. This is the fastest average they have had all year. They are progressing nicely as we enter the big, middle-season races and eventually into championship season.

All in all, the best of the best from central Mississippi toed the line at the 2022 Clinton Arrow Cross Country Invitational, and it certainly did not disappoint.
