High School Girls Individual Preview

The Rundown: 

Regarding the top entries in the small school High School Girls section, two entries stick out: Aubree Justice of Alcorn Central versus Lucy Littlejohn of French Camp High School. 

One fun fact about this matchup is that these are the top two finishers from the 2021 Mississippi XC Meet of Champions. 

At that race, Justice came out on top, winning in 19:40 for 5K. Littlejohn was second in 19:56. 

RESULTS: 2021 Mississippi XC Meet of Champions

Littlejohn, the All-MileSplit Mississippi XC No. 7, is undefeated through two races this year, winning by more than 90 seconds. 

Justice, however, will make her season debut at the 2022 Saltillo XC Invitational. 

State Editor's pick: There isn't too much to dissect here as Justice hasn't raced since May, so we don't have much data to go on. 

With that being said, we think because Littlejohn already has two races under her belt and has very much exceeded expectations in those two races, we'll pick Littlejohn to keep her undefeated streak alive.
