100 Meter Dash

The Rundown: 

Analysis: Two more Top-10 marks in the 100m dash were added over the weekend in the High School Girls 100m dash, both coming from the 2022 Gulf Coast Classic. North Pike's Ri'torion Vigne came away with a win, keeping her undefeated streak in the 100m dash this season. In order to do so, Vigne put down a mark of 12.38, currently a Miss. #4 and #1 in MHSAA 4A, as well as taking down 25.7/57.5 200m/400m runner Gracyn Yelverton on her home turf - Yelverton also came away with a 100m PR of 12.54, currently Miss. #9 and #4 in MHSAA 6A. 

Spotlight: Something that can't go unnoticed is the series that Biloxi's Gracyn Yelverton put down over the weekend. On Friday, Yelverton ran the 100m, 200m, and 400m prelims, running PR's at the time of 12.83 and 25.84 in the 200m, and then cruised to a SB of 58.80 in her 400m prelim, winning by nearly 10 seconds.
