Continuing off of the Top Large School Individual Returners from a few weeks ago, this is using the same format of combining MHSAA 5A and MHSAA 6A and combining them into 1 category. This seems like the most reasonable way to measure each team's across the state as many schools differ in student size, and is also the exact same format Louisiana will be moving to in the Fall of 2022.
This is definitely the most competitive section, and it is looking like Pearl High School will have the early jump on the state as they are returning 5 of their sub-17 5k runners next cross country season. As a matter of fact, this is the strongest returning squad Mississippi has ever seen, as no other team has ever had 5 sub-17 returners before.
