Norman will have a busy schedule this weekend as he will be competing in three jumping events in the Class 5A classification.

So far this season, Norman cleared over 6-8 in the high jump twice. He cleared 6-10 at the MHSAA Division 7-5A meet, which ties for US No. 9 in the country.

Norman could grab his first high jump state title and potentially leap into the state record books. The 20-year-old Mississippi state record is held by Matt Denton of East Central, who achieved a height of 6-10 in 2001.

Norman could snag an opportunity to hit the 7-0 barrier as well.

He also owns a Mississippi No. 1 long jump of 23-5 (-0.9), which is the second-furthest wind-legal jump in the country. In the triple jump, he has posted a personal best of 44-8.
