Poll: Who Is The Top Indoor Mississippi Athlete So Far?


We are halfway through what is our indoor season so here is the chance to vote on who is the top athlete so far. 

Kennedi Sanders, Madison Ridgeland, junior, ranked number one in both the 60 meters and the 400 meters. She has consistently led the Mississippi girls sprinters and this season is no different.

Jonathan Vaughn, Meridian High, junior, is ranked number one in the 60 meters, the long jump, and the triple jump. Jonathan is emerging into the Mississippi boys' track scene. Look for him to really move up this year.

Sophie Santucci, Tupelo Christian, freshman leads both the 800 meters and the 1600 meters in this shot season so far. As she proved in the cross country season she is becoming a force to be reconned with in Mississippi girls distance running.

Kemarie Wade, Meridian High, senior, top-ranked in the 400 meters and number two in the 60 meters. Kemarie ran a personal record in the first meet of the season not only for indoor but outdoors as well. He also proved that his pure sprint speed is not bad ranking second to teammate Jonathan in the 60-meter dash.
