Girls need goals to train for in cross country so here are some for the MileSplit Mississippi girls.

To take the number one spot you will have to beat Cory McGee, Pass Christian. She ran 17:29.00 at the Footlocker South Regional in 2007.

If you want to be in the top 25 you have to run 19:03.92. Katherine Steinman, Tupelo High ran this at the Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic in 2007.

To hit 50th place require 19:31.47. Emma Kate White, Saltillo High ran that this year at Pontotoc.

If you just want to make it into the top 100 you have to run better than 19:58.86. Mary Beth Woodward, Starkville High ran that in 2018.

To reach at least 500th place your goal to beat is 21:46.10. Mary Margaret Rankin, Hartfield Academy ran that in 2018. She will be a senior next year so can be sure that is her goal also.

25:25.20 is the time to beat to be in the top 2500 5K runners. Quentasha Portis, Hattiesburg High ran that time in 2017 and has graduated.

It will require breaking 29:57.12 to break into the top 5000. Alicia Wells, South Pike ran that in 2017 at the MC Watson Ford Invitational.
