The top teams look like the same top teams as last year just different athletes. This ranking does not include any possible transfers of athlete from one team to another,.
Pearl High as usual is one of the top teams but only by four points over Brookhaven High. Pearl is led by junior Jonathan Phillips at 16:51.00 and senior Jacob Dedmon close behind at 17:07.38. Brookhaven has junior Sam Arnold at 16:38.59 and fellow junior Grayson Childress also under 17:00 minutes at 16:41.51. All it will take is one the two sophomore in fourth and fifth place to step up and Brookhaven will move into first place.
Down in third place is Oxford High with junior Luke Johnson leading that pack at 16:17.04 and in comfortable striking distance of the top spot only 18 points away. I think they will be the surprise team of the season so keep you eyes on them.
