The PCS Invitational was a good meet with the weather cooperating. With over 900 athletes registered it ran a little long but a 10:00 a.m start really helped. With daylight savings time it meant we finished the meet before dark. Compliments to Champions By Choice Timing for the speed at which the heats could be started.
Reagan Jones, Laurel Christian did well in her first meet running 13:03.10 in her first 3200 meters of the season. She finished second behind Merritt Johnson, Presbyterian Christian.
On the boys side Nathan Marcey, Presbyterian Christian broke 5 minutes with a personal record of 4:57.84 which put him at 22nd in the state rankings.
Hattiesburg on Monday had some good athletes running trying to top their season best.
