I'm back and
ready to give you the run around once again!
Many teams opened their seasons this weekend, including 14 at Pass High. With the meet being so large, and the first
one of the season it took all day - the meet went from 9AM to 5PM.
As a former
Track & Field coach I always stressed the importance of the team's finish,
yes, individual accolades were nice but they build towards the team
finish. In 6 seasons as a head coach at
SSC, we always preached team first, and a state title was always the ultimate
goal. We came close four times, finishing
second twice and third twice - but we never won it. I tell you all that to tell you that I look
at the team finishes in every meet I watch, attend, direct, or participate in. Even though it's early in the season - it's
