Jacob is always upbeat, he gives 100% effort all of the time, and is a great teammate and and a great team leader.

 3.30/19

Describe why you choose Mississippi College and what you liked on your visit to the college.

 I chose the MC because of my major that I want to go in. I also chose MC because of the great team atmosphere and the amazing coach.

Is there any other athlete that might have helped influence your signing.

 Preston Noland 

What are you most looking forward to about your future career as a college athlete? 

The thing I'm looking forward to most about being an athlete in college is being a great teammate to my new team.

What is your favorite workout your Coach has you do?

 Definitely has to be 6 x 1 mile repeats on our hilly mile course.

What is your least favorite workout?

 16x400

What events do you think they'll have you run in track as a freshman?

 5k and 10k most likely 

What motivates you to run?

 My team and my family 

What do you think about when you're running?

 Helping my team score as least points as possible

Do you have any superstitions on race day or perhaps an odd pre-race routine?

 I take a shower before every race and always where the same socks during the race.

Gatorade or Powerade?

 Like Cucumber Gatorade all the way

Tucked 

Do you have a favorite meal for the night before a race?

 Spaghetti

Do you take ice baths? If yes, what do you think about during an ice bath?

 I don't usually take ice baths, but if I am taking an epsom salt bath I am usually reflecting on the workout that made me so sore to have to take one.

Name a lesson that running and training as a runner has taught you.

 Perseverance even in the tough times.

Do you have a rival runner? 

 Any runner that pushes me close or past my breaking point.

What do you do to recover after a race?

 Usually just chill out but most of the time the whole team goes to one of each other's houses and plays basketball or swims.

How do you intend to balance academics and athletics in college?

 Definitely running hard and studying even harder.

What is the strangest thing you've seen during a race?

 A huge snake on Choctaw Trails!

Who is your biggest fan?

 My sister for sure. I always hear her over everyone in the crowd screaming.

What advice would you like to share with younger runners just starting out their high school careers?

 Don't take high school for granted because it goes by so fast. Also always to work hard and be respectful to other runners.
