Coaches: Remember what Coach Ard said about having your own water and iced down towels for your athletes at the end of the race. There are just too many athletes running to expect the hosts to try to provide water and ice for them.
MC Watson Ford is divided into three divisions, Gold, 4-6A Large School, 1-3A Small School. Any team can elect to run in the gold which is set for the elite teams. A small school can move up and run in the big school division but a large school cannot run down. So needless to say you cannot really do a virtual meet for this event. However if the top teams elect to run in the gold it should be a great meet.
Many of the Louisiana teams are not shown here because in their state they run 3 miles traditionally. Our virtual meet generator does not take 3 mile times into the calculations.
Not matter what, this will be an exciting meet with Mississippi MileSplit there force with three photographers and a video person.
This could be an epic meeting of athletes with fast times to be had. Christian Balcer, East Central gets his chance to see what he can do with competition on Choctaw Trails. With Balcer and Jacob Britt, Brookhaven headed for a showdown in the class 5A state meet, it will be a classic race. When you add Chase Rose, Kirk Academy into the mix lookout for grass fires on the course from the speed racing.

Girls
If Brooklyn Biancamano, Long Beach does not run look for some intense racing in the girls elite division. Even if she does run I would not predict that she would win. With eight of the remaining top ten runners already under 20 minutes it could be a barn burner. Jessica Cartwright, Hernando is looking for her first sub 19 minute run and with the cast of racers she could achieve that goal. I know that number ten, Emma Claire James, West Lauderdale is hoping to break the 20 minute barrier at this meet. But i cannot predict a winner from this group of talented athletes.
