It is going to be a busy week again for Mississippi Athletes. Mississippi MileSplit will be at the JPS Meet 2 and the Middle School Challenge on Tuesday. Northwest Rankin will be making their 2019 debut with Grayson Edwards on the boys side and Aubrey Britt, Loyd Star at 21:04. Oak Forrest Academy from Louisiana will be making their first meet of the season.
At the East Mississippi Classic on Thursday with Emma Claire James, West Lauderdale 20:15.78 and the Madison Ridgeland Academy, girls team. On the boys side it will be Clay Olson, Madison Ridgeland 18:06.63 leading the pack.
Whitney Robbins will at the Dawg Trails Invitational on Thursday. Leading athletes are Issac Sturdivant, South Panola 17:43.78 and Morgan Green, Hickory Flat 22:02.15.
Whitney Robbins will also cover the Hickory Flat Invitational on Saturday featuring Thomas Floyd, New Albany 18:11.37 and Jessica Cartwright, Hernando 19:55.24. Houston High, Tn is scheduled to run but have not registered athletes yet.
Mississippi MileSplit is undermined where I will be Saturday. It is a toss up between Mooreville or a three hour trip to Oakville Alabama to watch Brock Kelly, Tupelo Christian and Corinth High run. This is a huge meet with over 2500 athletes. Top athletes at Moorville are Eli Hannon, Saltillo 17:30.98 and Madison Jones, Saltillo 19:35.96.
Madison XC Classic is also on Saturday with 22 teams running over their 4K course.
