Top 10 Returning Senior Girls HS XC Careers

Some real differences here with the girls. Madison Walker, Biloxi does not show up in the Mississippi database until 2018 in both XC and Track. If anyone wonders why it is because she never even thought about cross country or track until July of 2018. Coach Oneal at Biloxi talked her into starting running so it will be exciting to see what she can do in her second ever season. It is not unusual for athletes to come to the sport late in their high school careers but it is very satisfying for a coach to help these athlete realize the possibilities that exist. You runners out there might be able to have an effect on someone just by introducing them to the sport of cross country so recruit your friends and other students at school.

It is interesting that not a single senior will start the season under 20 minutes and it will be even more interesting to see how many achieve this goal.

The athlete with the biggest improvement for their senior season is Bailey Pounds, Brookhaven with an improvement of 3 minutes and 26 seconds.

Gracie Gray, also of Brookhaven has the biggest improvement from her sophomore year to her junior year with a 2 minute and 6 second jump.
