Cole Benoit, Pearl River is at the top even though the course at West Harrison might have been a little short his other times still put him at the top of Class 5A. He has run 16:35 at Pascagoula and 16:25.27 at the Region Championships on the tough George County course. I look for him to run sub 16 minutes this Saturday weather permitting. Mason Watkins, Picayune stuck with Cole at Pascagoula until he hit the two mile mark on the way to his best run this year of 16:40. Look for these two to be right there as they round the big tree just before the 1.5 mile mark at Choctaw Trails. Payton Temple leads a very strong team at Saltillo and should join the sub 17 minute club Saturday. Jacob Britt and freshman Grayson Childress of Brookhaven both have a good chance of running sub 17 minutes on Saturday.
