Class 6A will have a fast field this year with nine of the Top 10 under 17 minutes. Clay Derrick, Oak Grove leads the pack over Matthew Mestayer, Ocean Springs by 6 seconds. Both of these seniors ran their best time on the fast Ocean Springs course.
Patrick Spurgeon, Pearl saved his best for last as he ran his best time at State finishing fourth. Any of these young men in the top ten could improve to sub 16 minutes and State Championship.
