Even though Indoor Track is not an official sport for Mississippi many teams go to Birmingham or Louisiana to compete. You still have to be signed up with the MHSAA to compete so that you will be sanctioned to attend the meets. This enables those athletes that do not play winter sports to still train and compete so that they will be better for Outdoor Track. Mississippi drastically needs an indoor track at one of the college campuses so that more schools can compete.
Jaquan Webb returns for Oxford as the leader in the 60 Meter Dash but will face Thaddeus Land, Pearl and Kristopher Moore, Clinton for the top spot.
