Kate Mattox, Starkville has been the dominate distance runner in the state all classification since her 7th grade year. Her senior season looks like it could be the same way. Hannah Pinter, Pearl could be the main threat is she can overcome some injuries.
Asia Poe, Madison Central is a multi-talented athlete and is ranked number one in two events. She is number one in the Triple Jump and the High Jump. She is also ranked number three in the 100 and 300 meter hurdles. If we has the Pentathlon in Mississippi as an event there is now doubt that she would have to be considered number 1.
