Teams to watch

Expect Oak Grove High School to dominate the team side boy's race on Monday. On paper, they are poised to put all five of their scorers in the top ten for a nearly a clean sweep.

Ferguson and Wheat should pack a punch, finishing first and second, followed by Jaden Gray, Luke Skinner, and Grayson Taylor.

The battle for second place should come down to Cathedral Unit School and the Hattiesburg Forerunners. For the girls, it will be a tighter affair.

East Rankin Academy is, on paper, expected to edge out Simpson Academy for the win, placing four of their five inside the top ten, whereas Simpson is projected only to place two. Ultimately, the victory will likely come down to whose fourth and fifth runners can perform the best to secure the best positioning possible.

For third place, two schools are in close contention. Only separated by three points on paper, look out for Jackson Preparatory School and Madison Ridgeland Academy to duke it out for the final podium spot.
