2026 CHOCTAW TRAILS SEASON OPENER MEET INFORMATION
WHEN: Saturday, September 5, 2026
WHERE: Choctaw Trails, Clinton, MS
(5201 N. McRaven Rd., Jackson, MS)
ENTRY FEES:
Red Division (5K): $80 per team / $20 per individual
Blue Division (3K, Middle School Only): $80 per team / $20 per individual
White Division (4K): DISCOUNTED PRICE of $50 per team / $10 per individual
NO UNATTACHED RUNNERS ALLOWED!
Checks made out to Mississippi Christian University Athletics - bring to the meet.
ENTRY PROCESS:
Online registration opens July 1 and closes Wednesday, September 2 at 11:00 PM

STRICT DIVISION GUIDELINES:
To ensure safety, reduce congestion, and improve flow of events:
Red Division 5K Cutoffs:
Boys must have a PR under 26:00
Girls must have a PR under 32:00
PLEASE NOTE: Any athlete exceeding these standards will be automatically moved to the White Division (4K).
MEET SCHEDULE:
8:00 AM - Girls RED 5K (unlimited entries)
8:40 AM - Boys RED 5K (unlimited entries)
9:20 AM - Girls WHITE 4K (unlimited entries)
10:00 AM - Boys WHITE 4K (unlimited entries)
10:40 AM - Girls BLUE Middle School 3K (unlimited entries)
11:20 AM - Boys BLUE Middle School 3K (unlimited entries)
AWARDS will be presented 50 minutes after the start of each race (i.e. RED Girls 5K awards at 8:50 AM)
Top 14 individuals receive t-shirts
Top 2 teams receive trophies
PARKING:
$10 per car (includes a handheld sandwich item courtesy of Farm Bureau)
Please carpool when possible to reduce congestion.
CHIP TIMING:
Timing services provided by Xpress Timing. Instructions will be sent to all registered schools prior to race day.
