Cost
$125 per division (High School Girls and High School Boys are each a different division).
The Maximum cost for an entire team is $250.
All Checks can be can be brought the day of the meet and made out to Pascagoula Gautier School District.
Awards
Medals will be awarded to the top 10 runners of the High School Girls and High School Boys race. They will be considered the "All Region Team".
A trophy will be awarded to the top girls and boys high school teams. They will be considered the Regional Champion
Timing
Timing will be done by Port City Timing. We will have live results and updates will go to MileSplit at the conclusion of the meet.
Course
The course has been updated. We fixed the finish to make it a 200 meter straight away to end it. We also made it into 2 loops instead of 3. We also are going to mark the course with spotted lines as well as cones this year. It is still FLAT and FAST! It is definitely a PR course that is accurately measured. It is also a spectator friendly course. The Course is mostly grass with the exception of a few brief crossovers that are less than 10 feet in length. This is going to be a well run meet. Every race will start on time. For all the races there will be a strict 40 minute cut off. I will send an email with a map a week before the race. Starting boxes will be assigned and handed out at the meet.
Parking
There will be plenty of room for parking. We are asking for all buses to drop their teams off at the designated drop off area and park in the far back parking lot. All spectators will be asked to donate, but parking is free. Spectators will park near the course. NO SPECTATORS WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARK IN THE LOT DESIGNATED FOR BUSES.
MGCCC HAS ASKED US TO NOT ALLOW PARENTS TO ENTER FROM THE GAUTIER-VANCLEAVE ROAD ENTRANCE. PARENTS ARE ASKED TO ENTER FROM HIGHWAY 90. BUSES ARRIVING BEFORE 7:30 CAN ENTER GAUTIER-VANCLEAVE. THAT ENTRANCE WILL BE CLOSED AT 7:30.
Camps
Team camps will need to be set up within the MGCCC walking track. We are asking for all teams to camp within this half mile area so that no one blocks the course. It will also allow for a high energy environment to propel runners to a PR. Please make sure your camp is clean when you leave. We want to be able to use this location for future meets. We will have bathrooms located near the start/finish in the rec building, next to the tennis courts and team area ,as well as Warner Peterson Administration Building.
