High School Course
The High school course remains the same. It is a two loop course where you start and end at the same spot. It is definitely a PR course that is accurately measured. It does have a lot of turns so make sure your athletes know the course beforehand. It is also a spectator friendly course. The Course is mostly grass with the exception of a few brief crossovers that are less than 10 feet in length. This is going to be a well run meet. Every race will start on time. For all the races there will be a strict 40 minute cut off. I will send an email with a map a week before the race. Starting boxes will be assigned and handed out at the meet.
Middle School Course
We are excited to introduce an updated course layout for our middle school athletes, officially measured to a precise 3,200 meters. To accommodate this specific distance, we have established an alternate starting line located just a short distance from the high school start. While the race utilizes the same excellent paths as the high school event, the middle school race is custom-tailored to a 1.25-loop format. How it works: Runners will launch from the new starting line, complete an initial quarter-loop to establish their positioning, and then transition seamlessly into one full, scenic loop to the finish line. This setup guarantees a fair, accurately measured, and exhilarating race for all competitors!
Parking
There will be plenty of room for parking. We are asking for all buses to drop their teams off at the designated drop off area and park in the Administrative Building lot. All spectators will have the option to donate money for parking. It is not mandatory. Spectators will park near the course. NO SPECTATORS WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARK IN THE LOT DESIGNATED FOR BUSES.
PER MGCCC - NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO ENTER FROM GAUTIER-VANCLEAVE ROAD. ALL SPECTATORS AND BUSES WILL ENTER FROM HIGHWAY 90.
Camps
Team camps will need to be set up within the MGCCC walking track. We are asking for all teams to camp within this half mile area so that no one blocks the course. It will also allow for a high energy environment to propel runners to a PR. Please make sure your camp is clean when you leave. We want to be able to use this location for future meets. We will have bathrooms located near the start/finish in the rec building, next to the tennis courts and team area ,as well as Warner Peterson Administration Building.
