Welcome!

Welcome to the inaugural Saint Stanislaus Cross Country Classic in Bay St. Louis, MS. This meet invites middle and high school teams from across the Gulf Coast. Help us build a new tradition on a new course designed for great racing and great viewing.

The venue for this event has been updated.  If you are using an online mapping program to navigate to the event, the best address to use is 300 Seminary Drive, Bay Saint Louis, MS.  Busses must drop runners off here and park elsewhere.

Course:

This course is brand new!  It has never been contested!  The middle school course is 3 kilometers and the varsity course is 5 kilometers.  The courses follow the same general path.  The 3K course is one loop and the 5K is two. Use the link below to download a KML file of the 5K course.  Be advised, this course was plotted and measured using a Garmin wearable.  However the course was (and will be) measured using a hand wheel to ensure accuracy.  The image below shows the 5K course.  

This course is comprised of 90-95% grass/dirt that is mostly flat but does have some rolling hills.  The remaining 10% consists of asphalt road crossings and a small amount of concrete sidewalk.  Spikes are not required but, if the course is wet, could be beneficial to experienced runners.

Divisions:

  • Middle School Boys (7-8)
  • Middle School Girls (7-8)
  • Varsity Boys (9-12)
  • Varsity Girls (9-12)

There will not be a separate Junior Varsity race. All high school runners will compete in the Varsity race with A/B team options.

Schedule of Events:
  • The course will be open at 6:30am
  • 7:00am - Packet Pickup
  • 7:30am - Coaches Meeting
  • 7:45am - Benediction and National Anthem
  • 8:00am - Varsity Girls (5K)
  • 8:45am - Varsity Boys (5K)
  • 9:30am - Middle School Girls (3K)
  • 10:00am - Middle School Boys (3K)
  • 10:30am - Awards Ceremony (All)
Team Entry Format:
  • Each school may enter up to 7 athletes on their A team (eligible to score and displace).
  • Top 5 finishers score; runners 6 and 7 may displace.
  • Additional runners may be entered as non-scoring B team athletes.
  • B team athletes will be timed and listed but will not score or displace.
  • Schools with fewer than 5 runners may still enter; those athletes will be listed individually.
  • A/B teams do not apply to middle school divisions.

Timing and Results:
Chip timing with live MileSplit results. Final results posted after each race.

Awards:
  • Top 3 individuals per division will receive medals (image below) - placement will be engraved on the back!
  • Top 2 teams per division will receive trophies
  • Top 3 finishers in each division will receive a 32oz water bottle and a supply of medical grade oral rehydration solution sponsored by  Drip Drop ORS.

Entry Fees:
  • $100 per gendered team
  • $25 per individual (if fewer than 5)
  • Maximum $200 per school
  • No online payments. Bring check payable to Saint Stanislaus Athletics on race day.
