Meet Information
This event will be held at Jones Park in Gulfport, MS (2550 Jones Park Dr). The 5k course follows a path through the park, across the pedestrian bridge, around the Mississippi Aquarium, then back through the park. The course is mostly paved and promises to be really fast. The 2-mile course follows the same 2-lap park and bridge path, but does not loop around the aquarium. Please let your runners know in advance that this is not a spike friendly course.
This meet is hosted by the Coastal MS Wildcats and is open to all MSAHA, MAIS, MHSAA and other state equivalent teams. The elementary and middle school races will be run as mixed-gender races, but they will be timed gender-specific.
The registration fee is $100 per team with a $200 maximum per school or team (parking is free at this event). Boys and Girls are considered separate teams. Registration for teams with fewer than 5 runners will be $20 per runner. Registration fees can be paid on race day at packet pickup. There will be no race day registrations.
The schedule will be:
1-mile Co-Ed Elementary Race (5th grade and below) - 4:00pm
2-mile Co-Ed Middle School Race (6th-8th grade) - 4:30pm
Varsity Girls 5k - 5:00pm
Varsity Boys 5k - 5:45pm
Medallions will be awarded to the top three finishers in all races and event shirts given to the top 10 finishers of each race (5 boys & 5 girls for MS and Elementary races).
