Coastal Mississippi Classic 2022

The meet will be held at the Gulfport High School track. The meet will take place at the Gulfport High School track. The best way get to the track is to turn off of Pass Rd onto Loposser Ave. This will bring you directly to the parking area at the track.

Timing will be FAT timing. Registration fees are $75 per team (boys and girls are separate teams), maximum fee per school or group is $150. Unattached athletes are $15 each. Payment of registration fees may be made the day of the meet (check/cash) or in advance through Paypal - paypal.me/CMWildcats.

Athletes may compete in a maximum of six events (relays included). For Elementary, you may enter up to 4 athletes in each event. For JV and Varsity, you may enter up to 3 athletes in each event. Only one relay team per relay, per school/group.

Due to a limited number of hurdles available to us, we have to limit the number entries per team for the two hurdle events to 2. I hope this doesn't cause problems for your team. We just won't have time to run 7 heats in those events.

There is an exhibition 4x200 Meter Mixed Relay for both JV and Varsity as the last event of the day. This relay will not be counted in the team points and is for fun only. It also will not count toward an individual athlete's limit of 6 events. Each team is allowed one JV and one Varsity relay team for this race. The relay team must consist of two females and two males. They may run then in any order you choose.

For those of you familiar with the Hattiesburg Forerunners track meets, ours will be run exactly like theirs because that is the MSAHA approved format. Unattached (taped) runners will be allowed in the 800 & 1600M runs, but the coaches will be responsible for recording their times.

You may setup your team tent on either side of the stands on a first-come, first-served basis. We will not assign your team a specific area. Tents will not be allowed on the infield of the track.
