Meet Information

The Long Beach Invitational Track & Field Meet will be held on Thursday; April 06, 2017. The site of the meet will the Long Beach Track & Field Complex located at Long Beach Lumpkin-Magee Stadium. The meet will begin with a coaches meeting at 3:45p.m. The first events are set to begin at 4:00p.m. with the running of the girls 3200 m. relay. The boys 3200 m. relay will follow the girls 3200 m. relay. The 3200 m. runs will follow the completion of the 3200 m. relays. All other running events will not begin until the approximate conclusion of the field events. The field events are set to begin at 4:15p.m. Entries for this meet must be completed on-line on the milesplit web-site. Milesplit on-line registration for this meet is password protected. The password for registering your team(s) & for entering the meet will be forwarded to the invited schools' track & field coaches before the meet opens for on-line registration. The meet will open for on-line registration on 03/01/2017. The on-line deadline for entering the meet is 04/01/2017 at 11:59p.m. central time. No entries will be accepted after the deadline. Each school will be allowed three entries per each individual event. Only one relay team entry per school will be allowed per each relay event. Points will be awarded during the meet as follows: 1st - 10 pts. / 2nd - 8 pts. / 3rd - 6 pts. / 4th - 5 pts. / 5th - 4 pts. / 6th - 3 pts. / 7th - 2 pts. / 8th - 1 pt. FinishLynx Timing System & Meet Manager will be used in determining finish line results and scoring of the meet. Meet results will be posted on-line following the conclusion of the meet on the milesplit web-site. If bringing both a boys team & a girls team to the meet, there will be a $100 entry fee. If only bringing one gender team to the meet, the entry fee will be $50. Checks should be made payable to Long Beach Athletics. Do not mail entry fees. Do not pay entry fees on-line. Entry fees must be paid at meet headquarters on the day of the meet. All participating teams will be expected to provide field event workers for one field event. Schools must bring enough workers to take care of all the duties involved in the field event that is assigned to your school. A list of meet worker assignments for each team will be provided at the coaches meeting on the day of the meet.
