This Week's Nominees:
Braden Pickett, Pearl: Won the 100m, 200m, and 400m at the Woody Barnett Invitational, clocking 10.21 (1.4), 20.66 (0.5), and 47.66. He now ranks second all-time in Mississippi history in both the 100m and 200m, and sits at U.S. #3 and U.S. #4 in those events. Among sophomores, he ranks U.S. #2 in the 100m, U.S. #1 in the 200m, and U.S. #5 in the 400m.
Barrett Milner, Oxford: Ran a new state-leading 1:53.24 in the 800m at the Houston Track and Field Classic. The mark ranks third all-time in Mississippi history and is the fastest run in the state in the past 15 years.
Andrew Brown, Tupelo: Broke the state record in the 3200m/2 Mile at the Creekview Distance Showcase, running 8:56.53 (3200m) and 8:59.49 (2 Mile). He becomes the first Mississippian to break 9:00 and currently ranks top 50 nationally in the 3200m and U.S. #1 in the 2 Mile.
Ace Hall, Starkville: Placed third in the 100m at the Woody Barnett Invitational with a 10.67, making him the fourth-fastest freshman in the country among wind-legal performances. He also moves to third all-time among Mississippi freshmen in the event.
Jalen Hardiman, Hattiesburg: Won the George Kersh 800m at the Woody Barnett Invitational in 1:56.34. The performance marks his second 1:56 of the season and highlights a strong win over one of the state's top middle-distance fields.
