The Mississippi running community is rallying around Noah Moudy after he suffered a stroke on March 25. In the days since, his family has shared encouraging updates as Noah has made significant progress in recovery. What began as a frightening medical emergency quickly turned into a story of resilience, faith, and hope, as Noah began regaining movement and making strides forward in just the first few days after the event.
Noah ran for the Hattiesburg Forerunners in High School, competing in cross country as well as track, where he ran the 400m, 1600, 3200m, 110mH, and 300mH. After graduating in 2025, he continued his running career at William Carey University for cross country and track.
While physical therapy and heart surgery are still ahead, friends, family, and supporters are coming together to help Noah and his family through the road ahead. Those who know Noah know his love for running, his determination, and the positive spirit he brings to the people around him.
A GoFundMe has been created to help cover medical expenses, including hospital care, air ambulance transport, heart surgery, and physical therapy. For those who would like to support Noah and his family, the fundraiser offers a way for the running community and others across Mississippi to come together and help during this time. Noah's family has also created a page to keep up with his recovery and provide more information on his condition. The link to this page can be found here:
