2022 was yet another historical year for Mississippi High School Track and Field, with perhaps some of the best cumulative performances in a single season in Mississippi High School Track and Field history. From state records, four state titles in one day, and top-tier national marks, several athletes put down phenomenal marks during the 2022 Mississippi Outdoor Track and Field circuit.
Here are the performances to be voted on:
-Keegan Leverett's 9:18 solo 3200m in 90-degree heat at the MHSAA 3A Track and Field South State Championships.
-Sidney Stegall's 1:55.4 win at the Mississippi Track and Field Meet of Champions.
-Jordan Anthony's 200m national title at the USATF U20 Championships.
-John Scott Kendricks' 16-8 Pole Vault at the MHSAA Region 1-6A Championships, as well as his 16-8 Pole Vault national title at Adidas Outdoor Nationals.
-Arvesta Troupe's 6-10.5 High Jump at the Fast and Furious Memorial Invitational.
-Roury McCloyen's National title in the Shot Put and National runner-up in the Discus at the USATF Junior Olympic Championships.
-Kennedy Stringfellow's 24-3 Long Jump at the MHSAA 6A Track and Field South State Championships.
