Tupelo also placed second behind Huntsville at the 2022 Brooks Tennessee River Classic. Brown was the individual runner-up in this race.

Northwest Rankin HS is another team that has been performing well this year. Their junior high girls' team won '22 The Opener Junior High girls race, with McKinley Drennan performing as a phenomenal low stick and winning the individual title.

Grace Hoeniges also placed third behind Drennan.

They have only raced once this season, but they are a team to watch at the 2022 Middle School State Championships. They have already beaten several of the best teams in the Jackson area.

Lastly, Madison Central's team has proved itself as a great squad after winning the 2022 Jaguar Trails Opener and placing second at The Opener 2022. So far, Lily Stribling has been their best runner, but Macey Livingston is not far behind. Both girls placed in the top seven at The Opener and look to be two future low sticks for the Lady Jaguars' program.
