Discus

Aryn Eady of D'Iberville High School posted a mark of 112-7 at the 2022 Pearl Track and Field Opener to win the Discus over Pearl's Anila Jones.

This mark is currently #2 in the state (now #3 after the Gaston Hewes Relays) under the Mississippi indoor Shot Put Record Holder from Clinton High School, Meagan Womack. This mark is also the top time in MHSAA 6A South (now #2 after the Gaston Hewes Relays). 

Last season, Eady threw 109-5 at the 2021 MHSAA 6A South State Meet, a PR at the time, and that throw was good enough to get her to the 2021 MHSAA 6A State Championships. 

Eady is starting out exponentially better than last outdoor season, and has thrown a season's best every time she has competed in the Discus. With the start that she has had, Eady is looking to rebook her ticket to the 2022 MHSAA 6A State Championships this season and potentially snag a Top 5 finish.
