The girl's 4x800m relay state record was broken in the same year as the boy's, 2016, back in the days of eventual University of Alabama distance runner Rebecca Buteau (pictured above), who is currently ranked Top-10 All-Time in the 1600m and 3200m.

Jackson Prep literally has 4 girls that have run 2:31 or faster, and I have got to think that Madison Ridgeland Academy, Ocean Springs, and Hernando can beat that as well. With as strong as Columbia Academy (The Mississippi All-State Team Champions) was this year, they could definitely improve on their All-time ranking at #6 with the squad that they have.
