Ladies and Gentleman... for the first time since the pre-season All-State Rankings, there is a new #1 on the list. And rightfully so, as the new #1 of this prestigious list of talents, the winner of the Watson High School with a time of 15:37, #8 All-time in the state of Mississippi, is none other then Keegan Leverett of Saint Stanislaus. There's no telling how many times I stated how underrated Leverett is, and I guess he finally decided to wake the rest of the state up.
Leverett literally could not have run a better race tactically, and if I'm being honest with you, it seemed easy for him. Talking with him after the race, he said he will be ready to dip into the sub-15:30 territory come State and All-State. Buckle up folks, because Keegan Leverett is just getting started.
