First Mississippi Girls 5K Results To Start The Season

The first 5K girls cross country race is in the record books. Emma Overstreet, Simpson Academy beat her teammates Layla Warren by 24 seconds running 22:11.33. Not a bad time considering the heat, humidity, and a great but pretty tough course at Neely Farms.

In the team race it was Madison Ridgeland winning with 29 points and 2:15 1-5 split time.
